If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Environmental Fate Metabolism Expert with people leadership experience to join our Analytical Methods & Metabolism (AMM) team and take on the challenge of elucidating the metabolic fate of our active ingredients in the environment whilst leading a team of highly collaborative study managers and technical experts. Within the role you will also drive both technical excellence and team development whilst building strong relationships with Contract Research Organisations (CROs) to deliver critical data. Your work will directly enable the global registration of sustainable, ground-breaking crop protection technologies such as our recent breakthrough TYMIRIUM® technology which protects crops against soil-borne pests. Key responsibilities will include: People Leadership and Strategy Developing talent: Leading, coaching and mentoring a collaborative team of study managers and technical experts, guiding performance and building tailored training plans. Fostering a dynamic culture: Instilling a highly collaborative, inclusive environment that prioritises the well-being and growth of individual team members. Strategic Influencing: Contributing to the effective running and future strategic direction of the broader AMM team. Scientific and Technical Excellence Holistically elucidating the environmental fate of our active ingredients: Generating key insights from environmental fate metabolism data, translating complex scientific results into expert conclusions for stakeholders. Driving technical solutions: Acting as a key scientific leader within the environmental fate expert area, providing critical technical assistance to internal teams and external partners to resolve diverse analytical challenges. Regulatory alignment: Maintaining and building upon your expert knowledge of environmental fate metabolism and global regulatory guidance ensuring study designs meet evolving international standards. External Collaboration and Delivery Resource management: Working with internal stakeholders to manage resources to meet project timelines. CRO partnership: Building strong, collaborative relationships with Contract Research Organisations (CROs) to ensure the timely delivery of business critical data. What we are looking for Degree or equivalent in a biology/chemistry or related discipline. Significant experience of conducting environmental fate metabolism studies for global regulatory submissions. Deep technical expertise of compound metabolism in the environment. Proven experience in people leadership, coaching and mentoring scientific staff. Experience of generating key insights from data sets, with the ability to present complex data clearly to multiple stakeholders. Ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams, demonstrating strong organizational and analytical problem solving skills in scientific experiments. Active scientific participation and collaboration with colleagues in industry, contract research organisations or regulatory agencies. Keen attention to detail with a proactive mindset and ability to learn and apply new skills promptly in a fast-paced R&D environment. Our site Jealott's Hill International Research Centre UK is situated in pleasant semi-rural surroundings between Bracknell and Maidenhead and is the place of work for approximately 800 Syngenta scientists and support staff.
