Summary of Main Responsibilities To assist Eurofins Biomnis in maintaining a high standard in medical testing. Provide support to clients and colleagues to ensure a first-class service. To maintain and enhance their professional knowledge and skills as required. Work with colleagues to contribute towards the continuous improvement of the department. Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the mission and values of Eurofins Biomnis. Be responsible for organisation of workload, prioritising tasks to ensure the effective running of the Haematology Department Be responsible for maximising the use of available resources within the service and identifying requirements to meet future needs. Lead and co-ordinate scientific staff and/or support staff within the department. Ensure that the team is allocated according to their ability, education, training and patient needs and apply maximum delegation compatible with safe work practice. Supervise and support basic grade scientists, students and auxiliary laboratory personnel. Manage the organisation of workload, prioritising tasks to ensure the effective running of the Department. Observe the strictest confidence when dealing with all aspects of patient and Company information. Deputise for Chief Scientist in Haematology as required on technical matters. Participate in CPD programmes and achieve targets set by Eurofins Biomnis. Education Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Biomedical Science Experience Bachelor Degree -At least 5 years’ experience as a Basic Grade Medical Scientist/Biomedical Scientist in Haematology or Master Degree- At least 2 years' experience as Senior Medical Scientist/Senior Biomedical Scientist in Haematology Required licences / certifications or membership (Mandatory) CORU registered as Senior Medical Scientist or HCPC registered as Senior Biomedical Scientist Skills & Abilities A diligent, strong work ethic with the ability to work on your own initiative to ensure an outstanding laboratory service. Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. A proven team player who will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team of dedicated professionals.
