Position Overview

This role sits within Veolia's Indirect and Transactional (I&T) division and carries direct responsibility for developing and managing distribution channels across CEE region. You will focus on Veolia's core technology portfolio including ultrafiltration, spiral wound membranes, ED/EDI/EDR, filters, and standard systems. You will work in close collaboration with other Commercial and Engineering Teams. You will be tasked with growing channel partners, distributors, resellers, and OEMs, build executive-level client relationships, and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to deal closure.

This is a newly created position, complementing an existing Sales Manager for the CEE region as part of a deliberate strategy to accelerate sales growth. You will work within a matrixed, cross-functional environment and report directly to the CEE Business Development Director for CEE. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of industrial water treatment markets, a track record of delivering against commercial targets, and the credibility to engage at senior levels with both channel partners and end customers.

Day-to-Day Duties:

Develop and oversee growth strategies across markets and customer segments, with a focus on industrial applications and competitor retrofit opportunities

Identify, qualify, and onboard new channel partners, distributors, resellers, and OEMs

Take full responsibility for meeting and exceeding operating plan targets

Support channel partners in their daily operations, providing commercial and technical guidance

Apply Veolia's broader product and service portfolio to address customer challenges creatively and effectively

Maintain a consistent focus on internal and external compliance

Participate in operational rhythms and reporting processes that support regional growth and business planning

Build and manage strategic accounts, developing executive-level relationships and long-term client loyalty

Manage the complete sales process including lead generation, opportunity qualification, forecasting, and deal closure

Act as the primary client liaison in warranty claims that require negotiation and problem resolution

Collaborate closely with cross-functional Commercial and Engineering Teams

Ideal Skills and Experience:

Experience in the water treatment industry, with a strong preference for hands-on knowledge of ultrafiltration, MBR, EDI, and reverse osmosis

Commercial experience with a clear understanding of market conditions and dynamics within the water treatment sector

Background in planning and executing sales campaigns with measurable outcomes

In-depth expertise in ultrafiltration; knowledge of additional water treatment technologies is advantageous

Experience in channel partner management, including distributors, resellers, and OEMs

Marketing and/or business development experience is desirable

Able to manage and influence stakeholders

Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills

Ability to work across cross-functional and multicultural teams

Fluency in both English and Hungarian/Romanian, written and spoken, to a professional standard

Willingness and ability to travel as required

A degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent industry experience
