Job Summary This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in plating process engineering within a manufacturing environment. The intern will support the engineering team in monitoring plating processes, collecting and analyzing process data, assisting with process improvement activities, and maintaining manufacturing documentation. The role will provide exposure to plating chemistry, process control, contamination control, manufacturing quality, and operational efficiency. The intern will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to learn practical problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies in a manufacturing environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support engineers in monitoring plating process parameters and identifying process trends. Assist with plating DI water, LPC, contamination, and other process-related data monitoring. Support plating chemical inventory tracking and basic planning activities. Assist with monitoring plating pretreatment, strip line, filter change, and related process conditions. Collect, organize, and analyze process and production data to support quality and yield improvement. Assist engineers in investigating process deviations and line-to-line variations. Participate in process improvement and optimization projects under the guidance of experienced engineers. Support contamination control activities and follow cleanroom and safety procedures. Assist with OEE data tracking and analysis to identify potential improvement opportunities. Participate in FMEA, risk assessment, and other engineering review activities as required. Support process parameter evaluation, documentation updates, and change implementation activities. Prepare basic reports, charts, presentations, and technical documentation to communicate findings and project progress. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, equipment, and other engineering teams on assigned projects. Perform other engineering-related tasks and projects as assigned. REQUIRED: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant engineering disciplines. PREFERRED: Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, chemistry, electroplating, or process control is an advantage. Basic knowledge of data analysis and statistical methods is preferred. Comfortable working in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Able to communicate effectively in English. Previous internship, academic project, laboratory, or manufacturing-related experience is an advantage but not required. SKILLS Strong willingness to learn and develop practical engineering knowledge. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and interpret data. Good communication and teamwork skills. Self-motivated, responsible, and able to complete assigned tasks with appropriate guidance.
