Description

Tasks / Responsibilities: * Analyze customer Functional Requirements (FR) and Technical Design Packages (TDP) to define integration test scope and strategy. Design, develop, and maintain automated integration test cases in Embedded C++ for ctrlX PLC IO modules and accessories. Validate hardware-software integration and industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT CoE, EoE, CAN, M-Bus, RS232/RS485). Perform integration, system-level testing on remote hardware test setups located in Germany. Debug and troubleshoot integration issues on target hardware in collaboration with firmware, hardware, and Germany-based engineering teams. Develop and enhance reusable C++ test frameworks, utilities, and automation to improve test efficiency and coverage. Maintain test documentation, defect reports, and requirement traceability while ensuring compliance with quality and release processes. Mentor junior engineers, participate in technical reviews, and drive continuous improvements in integration testing practices. Expected skill set: *Strong programming experience in Embedded C++, PLC – IO modules Hands-on knowledge in C++(17) Framework Test Case development Good understanding of object-oriented programmingExperience in Linux-based embedded systems or embedded runtime environments Knowledge of Industrial Communication such as: EtherCATEoEM-BUSCANRS 232/RS485 Experience in debugging and troubleshooting software on target hardware Understanding of software lifecycle, unit testing, and integration testing Experience with version control tools such as Git Good to Have skills: Hands-on in PLC, IO Modules and its accessories Knowledge of real-time constraints in embedded systems Familiarity with cross-compilation, build systems, and deployment on embedded targets Basic knowledge of multithreading and memory optimization in Embedded C++ Exposure to requirement analysis, design documentation, and customer interaction BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in E&C or any equivalent 5-10 years
