Description

Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design: Design event-driven, cloud-native microservices using design patterns like Saga, Circuit Breaker, CQRS, and Strangler patterns. System Boundaries: Define bounded contexts and single-responsibility services aligned with specific business domains. Inter-Service Communication: Design and enforce API-first contracts using REST, gRPC, or GraphQL. Data Management: Implement decentralized data management where each service manages its own datastore (NoSQL/RDBMS). Resilience & Reliability: Design for failure by implementing retries, timeouts, bulkheads, and distributed tracing. Infrastructure & DevOps: Drive containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines to allow automated deployments. Observability: Ensure comprehensive logging, monitoring, and tracing are integrated across all services using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry Essential Qualifications & Tech Stack Experience: Typically 8+ years in software engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years focusing purely on distributed systems and microservices. Programming Languages: Deep expertise in backend ecosystems such as Java/Spring Boot, Go (Golang), Python, or Node.js. Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure. Message Brokers: Familiarity with event streaming and message queues (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS). Security & Governance: Knowledge of zero-trust architectures, OAuth 2.0, SAML, and API Gateways. Soft Skills: Strong technical leadership, excellent documentation abilities, and cross-team communication to evangelize microservices best practices. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
