Description

Job Title – In-house Commercial Solicitor Job Type – Permanent Location – Ellesmere Port Hours – 35 per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (Part time will be considered for the right person) As a member of the UK legal team, you’ll assist in the provision of first line legal advice, support and training to a diverse range of businesses and functions, offering a practical and informed interpretation of the laws affecting SGS. Key Accountabilities: Commercial Contracts Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of contracts, including supply and purchase agreements Liaising with stakeholders and developing management and mitigation strategies Property Portfolio Assisting in the management of the numerous offices, laboratories and workshops, with stakeholders and external advisors Litigation Assisting in the good management of complaints and claims, internally and with external counsel Regulatory and Compliance Supporting investigations Assisting with compliance programmes, policies and training The ideal candidate for this role will be a confident contract drafter who can carry a full caseload without close supervision, remain calm under deadline pressure, with an eye for detail who builds good working relationships across a business, at all levels. Open to lawyers already in-house and to those in private practice Qualifications Required: Qualified solicitor in England & Wales Minimum 3 years PQE Full driving license for use in the UK At SGS, we believe in rewarding our employees for their hard work and commitment.
