Description
Gloveboxes are typically used as an engineering control to protect workers from hazards and to control the atmosphere for work with air and moisture sensitive materials. R&D systems often incorporate engineered controls in their design to facilitate safe operation.
This position supports the management and implementation of ORNL’s site-wide glovebox lifecycle safety and integrity program and assists R&D in safely defining their systems with engineering integrity and structured configuration management.

Responsibilities
- This position will be responsible for ensuring R&D and operations staff are provided with appropriate expertise to support design, commissioning, operations and maintenance of gloveboxes.
- This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining the glovebox subject area to incorporate user feedback, industry experience and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
