Description

The role is a key member of the Global Bosch Home Comfort SAP ERP IT team , responsible for delivering standardized, scalable, and high-quality SAP solutions across a complex global ERP landscape. The SAP environment under this role includes multiple SAP systems (ECC and S/4HANA), which will progressively be consolidated into a unified global SAP S/4HANA platform. This position plays a critical role in enabling and supporting this transformation. The role works across the full SAP application lifecycle – from strategy and design through implementation, optimization, and decommissioning – collaborating with global IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners. Acting as an SAP subject matter expert, the role drives solution design, process standardization, and business–IT alignment, supporting ongoing digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Conceptualization: Align SAP solutions with business and IT strategy Identify business opportunities, challenges, and improvement areas Develop business cases and conduct feasibility studies Manage demand intake, portfolio prioritization, and roadmap planning Identify and engage key stakeholders across business and IT Support budgeting, funding, and cost planning activities Design & Planning: Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and solution evaluation Define end-to-end SAP solution architecture aligned with global templates Drive UX/UI design to enhance user experience and adoption Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements Support project planning, scoping, and execution Participate in vendor selection and procurement processes Build, Deploy & Transition: Provide architectural oversight for development, testing, and deployment activities Ensure alignment with SAP best practices and enterprise standards Support quality assurance, User Acceptance testing and successful release to production Drive knowledge transfer and documentation, aligned to governance standards Run & Operate: Drive Service Request Management and delivery Support root cause analysis and continuous stabilization efforts Ensure alignment with operational support models and SLAs Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Monitor system & solution performance and capacity reviews Gather user feedback and drive feature enhancements Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities Phase-Out & Decommissioning: Develop and execute phase-out strategies for legacy SAP systems Plan and manage system decommissioning activities Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and users Oversee data migration, retention, and archiving Conduct post go-live and post-decommissioning reviews #LI-AD1 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline SAP PTF (PP, QM,VC) experience, including in full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation and/or rollouts Expertise in SAP Production Planning and Manufacturing processes, including Demand Planning, MRP, Capacity Planning, and execution across MTO, MTS, and ATO scenarios Experience with discrete and repetitive manufacturing, Kanban, JIT processes, and production execution frameworks including control cycles and material staging Deep understanding of master data structures including Material Master, BOM, Routing, Work Centers, and Engineering Change Management (ECM) Hands-on expertise in Variant Configuration (LO-VC), including modeling, dependency management, configuration setup, and integration with order fulfillment processes Experience with batch and serial number management, equipment master data, and integration with Quality Management processes (inspection, certificates, notifications, test equipment management) Integration experience across SAP modules (PM, QM, MM, SD, FI, VC, PS), & end-to-end process integration with logistics execution, warehouse management, and external systems Preferred SAP S/4HANA experience in PP/AVC with exposure to advanced manufacturing and configuration scenarios Experience in other SAP modules like PS, MM, WM, EWM.
